Hi all,
Here's some updates from around the shows this season so far...

The Classic Motor Show at the NEC provided the NSRA with an excellent 'shop window' in which to exhibit many variants of Hot Rodding to exhibitors and visitors alike.

The NSRA stand consisted of Gus Patel's Chevy Truck, Steve & Jan Case with their Dodge, Gaz O'Connors Moon Truck, some bloke called Johnny Best with a '34 Coupe, The Chemical Reaction Slingshot run by Darryl & Sarah Howells and the Tot Rods of Karis Patel and Connor Martin.

The reponse to our stand and exhibits was better than expected. Full report to appear in Street Gasser but until then here's a few pics of what went on.

The weekend of 25th - 26th September saw the first Multi-Story Car Park event in Hull, organised by Dik & Kay Stapley. With a small but high quality rod turnout, it is expected to be placed firmly in the rodding calendars of all who attended. (Click for bigger pics.)

The 2004 Nostalgia Nationals took place 3rd and 4th July 2004 at Shakespeare County Raceway near Stratford On Avon. The weather was kind to us and except for a few brief spots of rain the track was open most of the  weekend. There was much entertainment on the track, from a 6 second jet car to a slightly more relaxed pass from a 1912 Mercer racing car (which was unfortunately much lighter at the top end, have jettisoned bits and fluids most of the way up!)
The Piston Heads represented themselves well with some racing against rods, with the NSRA coming up with some stiff 10 second competition for them - although a nitroused TVR and a Ferrari crossing the line first in two of the races (the Ferrari helped by a burst dif on the 34...).

The sky-high 57 Chevys Roarin' Rat and Honky Tonkin', did an entertaining side by side run on Sunday morning, with the latter delighting the crowds with some mental wheelstanding action on Saturday (pictured top right). Speaking of which, Gary McCormack (pictured right) was twisting his way off the line with the McCormack Bros. Fordson, getting back into the 9 second quarters with his 502ci Chevrolet powered projectile.
More pictures will be posted in the gallery soon.
