Xtreme
Wheels International 2005
Xtreme Wheels International
brought a mix of Hot Rods, Dragsters and Modifieds to the hallowed
halls of Alexandra Palace only this time it was bigger, better
and certainly more in your face.
The organisers had
undoubtedly pulled out all the stops to ensure the second year
of this hopefully long running event fulfilled the expectations
of exhibitors and visitors alike. More vehicles, more action,
more entertainment, more traders .... the list goes on.
The event was supported
in force by Custom Car magazine and their 'trade village' provided
a professional centrepiece with the likes of Pop Brown's, Home
Grown Hot Rods and Rodline displaying their wares and services
to a diverse and extensive audience.
Upon entering the
show, visitors were confronted with an amazing display of exceptional
quality Tot Rods put on by Steve Baines. All credit to Steve
and the other Tot Rod exhibitors. The trophy they collected
was well deserved.
Despite some last
minute withdrawals the NSRA stand offered a mix of the traditional
with the latest in high tech with vehicles such as Brian Lucas'
32 Roadster and Nigel Lockley's 34 Zipper. This mix was obviously
appreciated as we took the Best Club Display award. Oh, and
Nigel's super smooth Zipper bagged Best of Show.
Make a diary note
