Ken's coupe at speed.....I was driving, it cooked the starter, I was on my own outside Ogden, manage to coax her over the hill, stopped, removed the starter, then coasting down the hill jump start and made it into Wendover like this. This might seem kind of tame until you understand that for the past 600 miles plus Ken's coupe had no brakes!!! This was the only incident on the journey out, except for a head gasket going the first night just out side Brookville Ohio, no probs; changed by flashlight on the side of the road............

The two evil sisters at rest in the Wendover Nugget parking lot, Keith's car now has a stroked Y block, so he can get even further ahead during the daily assaults on the asphalt.

So how many hot rodders do you know would drive there cherry three winda through 8 inches of salt water to go racin'?? This was the welcome we got after 2,400 miles on the black stuff.

Kens Coupe with Ritchie's Hard tail 48 Harley, he rode this bike for two and a half days covering about 1500 miles, even through a howling storm in just a t shirt and jeans.........if I wasn't nursing the van with all the race gear in her I'd have taken more shots!

Keith and Ken where lucky to Hvae Mr Poteet bring them out a 200+ roadster to "play with" they made a couple of passes each, advancing up the licensing scale, Ken went fastest at 174 + change, I'm sure it was an awesome experience........they both said the same thing though; lets go even faster that salt sure does get in the veins!!!
