The first run I ever pre-entered for, I arrived Saturday morning and they'd already run out of goodie bags!

Lots of well known cars of the day here, not even going to try listing them all. Enjoy!

It was definitely parked with the SOF Steve, it looked really cool cruising around with the guys in their letterman jackets all weekend. This was the only place I ever saw it though.

Yep the third Nationals, it was in my opinion when the Nats got into it's stride, setting the scene for the next year at Knebworth. I went in my black '57 Cevy with Mick Cooke in his Camaro and I think Rupe Chambers.

Yep its in the pics Rog.! First Tri Chevy meeting i think. Look like poor old Tims big block silver 55 got the the rough part of the site. Some camped in the low area there was a great big down pour Saturday and they all got flooded out. After that it was brilliant may be the best.

The PA in the pictures, reg VJN190, went on to become mine a few months later. I then gave it new slot mags and a colour change.

Ken you are right (as usual) it was the first Chevy Club Meet. I can see my old '57 with a long white number plate and no grill bar badge, what was I thinking. Who is the car next to it Ken?
They are the silver wings I bought from Tim, I put then on the '55 which became 'Gone Bananas'.

Wow, yes that's me with my back to the camera, cleaning the black '57. The Camaro on the left was Mick Cookes, what a car for that era! Thanks, MOPAR.

I vaguely remember that his girlfriend was into the cars wasn't she? Could have driven one of them. I saw his special in his garage once and remembered it as being like that?

I think TLR55 met a lamp post and came off second best. That was just after I tried to swap a Mk2 Escort for it but the bloke didn't like it as it wasn't a nice standard 1100 version! He should have taken the Escort, it handled better than a 57.

heres a few more bisley 77 motors from the days when murals ruled, when are they comin back!!....1st pic looks like a home body brewed c cab complete with hay bale, 2nd is warp 8, 3rd pic shows the midnight ramble & electric funeral pops (check out the metal flake on electric funeral), then we have steve smiths moonshine marina (what happened to that?), then finally we have a heavily muraled ,flamed & ribboned furry dashed camaro.

enjoy.

pics are from the ian walker collection.

I might have been having a conversation with the bearded bloke. Though of course I might have been talking to the wheel. The 58 does look good there with the Cragar SS wheels and white bands. I still think back fondly to VXO9, was a quick car too albeit with awful brakes. Had a few 'moments' trying to slow down.

Many a night spent cruising in VXO 9 - no carpets, the cherry bombs and how could I forget the Monsiuer Gatty 'Double de-clutching.... :D

Were you in it the night it kind of destroyed a Vauxhall Chevette on the way to the Beehive? Crap brakes and a bit of ice = a very short Chevette. And it broke one of my headlights.
