I am one of a group of friends with rods loosely called a club The Rattlers.
Work in a company selling remanufactured laser printer consumables but that is just somewhere to be while I ring round getting car things sorted.
I was into the custom scene in the late 70's with a jacked up 100e and a low Consul Capri ( both of which I still have) but family, work etc got in the way for almost 20 years but started building a rod in 1998 and have built 6 since then.
I am too proud, tight or stupid to get others to do any work on my cars so am a self taught mechanic, sprayer, upholsterer etc with a long list of 'learned by mistake qualifications'.
This is no longer a hobby but a complete commitment and I am concerned about the changes in the law with European harmonisation. BIVA love it or hate it but at least we have it.
So just to prove it can be done I built this, a BIVA passed fenderless style rod, only the second rod to pass as far as I know. (April 2010)
