Thanks for that, as it is a very good question, the answer to which is relatively straight forward.
It essentially comes down to two things the most obvious of these is that firstly the car you run needs to be a Gasser or Gasser style. This definition is obviously open to interpretation therefore to assist with clarification, we have devised a set of Guidelines/Rules to which we hope all of the competing cars will comply with in 2011 especially as these will become mandatory rules in 2012. This two phased approach has been done to assist any of the current Gasser Circus competitors time to alter any aspects which may not comply and assist anyone who is building a car in preparation of competing next year, of which we already know of 5 Gasser’s being prepared for battle in 2012.
In addition we believe the opening paragraph of the Guidelines/ Rules sets out what the current Gasser Circus Guys and Girls are all seeking to achieve:- The guidelines are presented as the basis and foundation for the Gasser Circus competitors as it is our belief and desire to ensure that all the cars competing directly resemble as closely as reasonably possible the gas class cars of the mid 60's – preserving and promoting the "Gasser Wars".
Defining what is a Hot Rod can be a challenge, but most people know what a Gasser in the sixties looked like, and this is what we seek to promote and develop. Therefore, anyone who’s car fits within the guidelines, looks like a Gasser, will pass scrutineering and plans on competing in 2011, should be eligible to join the Gasser Circus. All you need to do then is contact either myself, Ken Brookes (Roarin Rat) or Brian Gibson (Identity Crisis) and supply us with information on your Gasser and we will sort it out membership for you.
If you don’t have a Gasser but still want to be involved still get in touch with one of us.
The Gasser Circus is like the NSRA, it’s about inclusion, not exclusion.
I hope that answers your question

Steve,

That is still under discussion and it has been suggested that a nominal fee of £5 may apply. We will have a clearer idea about this after our first round @ Yanks Weekend. The outcome will be posted on this Forum.
