Jig saw with a fine blade Russ.

I've just done 'temporary' door glass for the Merc in Perspex. It cuts easy with a cutting disc on a 4 1/2 inch grinder and a tidy up with a file.

I know I've said it before but Perspex is a brand name, not a particular material.
You need to specify that you want polycarbonate sheet. Why? Because chances are, if you ask for 'Perspex' you will be sold acrylic sheet. It's cheaper for sure but in the event of anything unfortunate happening, acrylic sheet will splinter into very sharp shards, which could easily inflict serious injury. Polycarbonate doesn't.
Plenty of suppliers about, any sign company will point you in the right direction. I know where to get it local to me if you're stuck.
If you do contact a sign maker, find out if they can flame polish the edges after you've cut it, it leaves a great finish.
Trent plastic Russ.

Russ If you know any one with a band saw get them to cut it on that much easier than a jig saw. also if and when you have got it cut, block the edge with some 180 grit paper and then flame the edge with a blow torch, just play the flame on the edge until you see it go shiny. job done.
