    Well heres another update

No one who knows me will be surprised I missed the Hot Rod Drags so heres where I am at the moment

Fitted the new rear wings as I dont like the square cut ones and managed to look at the fit and as you can see they are not alike

Got all the lights and indicators fitted and the front bodywork so just some quick repairs to do and then hopefully an MOT Oh I've got an oil leak I didn't put the sump on properly so I've ordered a new gasket so hopefully a MOT by the end of the month

Yep , acheived a fair bit this w/e aye Pete ? ;-) If u get yer finger out & get the sump off you might find time to clean " the oven " ! like some other well known rodder did at the w/e ! he he , This could turn into a " who was it ? ".

I emailed him today about his weekend activities and this was his reply

" Yep Oven is sparkling, so is the dish washer and the washing machine. If I am not careful, she'll go away more often....Doh! "

I've ordered the sump gasket tel so should be OK I did some bodywork on Sunday before the football

Did you get the carb done

Yes Pete , carb fitted in about half an hour ! & seems to run really sweet . Just gotta sell the old one now . Seems "well know rodder" was after more brownie points than we anticipated !! I still can't picture him in marigolds :-)

    Tel

I did it old skool. No gloves. My hands are still red raw now. I will admit to using the wire brush on a drill on the grill though!

Doh! Oh well, that's put paid to your game...

Didn't work, she's jet lagged and gone to bed and I am on here, but I may be able to wangle more 'car time' for a few days...LOL
Don't adjust your sets. Yes I have just been on the forum!

    Looking good pete. Look forward to seeing it out. Quick question;
I'm not sure if it's my eyes but in the 1st pic it almost looks like the wheels is about 2" further forward in the arch than the other side but in the 4th pic it looks central in the arch. Is that just because of the arch fit? Camera angle? or have you reworked the arches already?

Yeah it looks like that Glyn but me and tel have measured it and it is the arch that has a different shape and position to the hole so I'll need to redo the arch so the wheel is in the centre

I thought it might be my eyes! I've done something similar on my arches, although with my arches i reshaped them to the original pop shape rather than the '34 ford style they were.

Well the pop passed the MOT so heres a few pics I took before leaving

There is still a lot to do bodywork, interior, new front spring and shocks all round but now it's on the road so I can have some fun and do the other jobs a little at a time

I'll be in it no matter what the weather The only reason not to bring it would be if it's not working.
