    Vince's consul

Well thought id update my rides thread only to find out i hav'nt done one
    so here goes

    1959 Ford Consul LOWLINE
    305 chevy
    th350
    9" ford rear axle
    straight axle front

Those of you that do the nasc nats might remember my car on the show field or the dvd of 2005 it had a sign under the bonnet saying
"show n shine .....you cant polish a turd"

Well its still not polished but it now runs a chevy instead of the old rover and now sits a lil higher than it did then and hopefully be at this years nats in its new guise, which some of you already know no longer worries about speed humps, ive just spent the last couple of weeks (blinking weather) making and replacing the rear arches from scratch for the radiused look and seeing that the arches were from an old bonnet i dont think came out to bad and depending on the propshaft it should see the mot man this week

    fingers crossed eh

I built a Cresta Gasser with a small block Chevy and glide, shortened Transit axle, 9" Ford rear etc back in the 70's, in the driveway, so I know where you are coming from!

    Update !!!!

Yet again hampered by the weather and rushing to get it looking different for the tunnel run

Ive bit the bullet and named it

    "Bit'z 'N' Piece's"

which i applied using rattle cans in between the hail and the rain on the thusday before the run and felt the name was quite fitting

Still no photos as both my camera failed to work but i only found this out on the nite of the tunnel run

Well its now 2 days after the run and yes ive confirmed it, i had a lil too much fun on the run and broke the poor ol girl

Thinking of a new name now

"Pist 'n' Broke" now seems more fitting

No7 bigend journal has seen better days and i think that its beyond redemption

so might be out for the rest of this season unless a 350 comes up at the right money
