Got a little bit further with he handbrake cables at the week-end..

Made a couple of jointing pieces ready for the shortening.

Cut the inner and then shortened the outer, joined the outer with a small piece of dairy tube which I’ll heat shrink over when it arrives.

Joined the inner with my joining piece, which will be welded, galv sprayed then covered in heat shrink. This part runs in a ¾” tube so the joint will be fine in there.

    Sorted, fit in pretty well.

Next job is sort out the calipers, replace the diff cover gasket get it all fitted and repainted.

That’s it for now, more when I do more.

    Cheers. Tim W.

Well done. Another job done then. I do admire what what you have done with no garage, just a little shed and the other problems you have had.

Thanks Paul, yeah I've often said either I'll finish it or it'll finish me

Well I got the Handbrake cables secured and freshened up the axle paint at the weekend, the red is more in keeping with the creamy colour the Pop's now going to be.

    More when I do more.

Good progress Tim, you will need to trim off about 1.5" of wiper at the top as it will hit the window rubber in use.

Thanks Mark, I'll sort it later when I have the proper screen in with the internal rubber, that's a polycarb screen with modern external two piece rubber.

Got a few more bits done over the weekend…

Made a gasket for the wiper wheel box escutcheon.

Then managed to mount the wiper motor out of sight behind the right-hand corner of the dash.

And I was lucky enough a few years ago to get a second hand Maradyne Hot Rod Heater…

I made a template and drilled the holes…

I need to modify my pedal cover to allow the drives side flap to open and make a bracket for the bottom fixing but other than that all is well.

Unfortunately, the demister pipe take-off is bigger than my old British (MG I think) demister set-up.

    So, I made some adapters.

These can be bolted to the casing thanks to some M4 Avdels.

    More, when I do more.

    Cheers. Tim W.
