Got a bit further forward this weekend…
Mounted the curtesy light
Then Mounted the washer bottle.
Then as it was sunny I thought I could do with a couple of sun visors. Sourced some bits from work...
And turned them into this…
Fitted pretty well.
Happy with that I made the other one.
More, when I do more.
Cheers. Tim W.
Keep at it Tim, you've got perseverance. Hope to see it on the road soon?
But you know they are never really finished, always something to do
Tim,
You've still some to go to beat me, took me over 20 years. That first ride will make it all worthwhile.
Day off yesterday, first part was mine and having realised I'm amassing loads of stuff in the shed that needs painting, I thought I'd better get my finger out...
A wee while later...
Not a bad mornings work, if I say so myself! Top coat at the weekend hopefully.
Cheers. Tim W.
More good progress Tim.

My Intro
Nice work Tim, what you painting with ?
Thanks Neil.
Thanks Ian, got to keep chipping away at it mate.
Thanks John, I'm using 2K from my local Paint Factor, Cherry Red gloss for the engine parts, Cream gloss for the firewall parts and Beige Matt with a wee bit of matting agent (to really flatten it) for the rest.
Hopefully if it's dry at the weekend I'll get some top coating done.
Cheers. Tim W.
Some baking good weather this week Tim - perfect for painting if you have more to do.

I must apologise, I’ve been a bit remiss with regard to posting lately. No excuses just never got round to it, so here we are...
I made an error when I put the studs on my Grill trims, I used mild steel copper flash thinking they would not rust… Not the case so I removed them all and replaced with stainless steel.
I decided to paint them properly and whilst painting them I decided to paint all the grill and finish it off
I couldn’t resist sitting it in place for a photo prior to the strip down
I made a petrol tank sender cover and I needed to paint it, so I did the battery box and tank while I was at it.
Then came the big strip down ready to get the engine out for a strip and inspect.
Unfortunately, I’ve nowhere to store it all apart from the Pop
And now I’m ready to get the engine out – Once it stops raining!
I’ve never been really happy with the way the steering wheel turned out, so I’ve been doing bits on it over the months and this wet spell gave me a chance to finish it.
Hopefully, I’ll have some engine inspect/re-build photos to follow soon.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers. Tim W.
Some good backyard engineering going on there.
Who cares If It's glass or steel, It's still a hot rod.
