that prob was the original front, when jay had it after pete Frampton he cut the bonnet area out so as to have the same look as California dremin pilot that was also around here, paul hobby had it from jay and respayed it strait yellow then was sold on and was later candy red for about a week then steve broadley repainted it in a close copy of the cc feature, was then sold on to simon banfield who raced it like that for a few years

Hi John, you won't remember me but I use to live in Pinner close to Brian "Golly" Godbers and my mate, Pete Hembley and I use to know Bryan - we were often round his house, looking to see either who was visiting, or progress on his Minor van - is he still around?

    Kind Regards
    Steve

Unfortunately Steve, Bryan passed away a couple of years ago, he was living in the States. The last time I saw Golly was at Micky Brays funeral a few years back!...

Thanks Brizey, sorry to hear that, he was a fantastic guy, always had the pick of the girls too - he was a male model - good looking buggar.

i guess I'm going back 40 or so years, time is not that generous I guess!

Do you know what happened to the minor van Golly built? Did it ever get on the road and sorted?

    cheers
    Steve

As you can see from John`s link above, Bryan got the van on the road where it was one of the top cars in it`s day. After eventually selling it to a business man, years later he bought it back and took it to the states where he was living.
It was after Bryan`s untimely death that "Havoc" was bought and shipped back to the UK so we could all enjoy the icon that he created ...

Hi Steve, sorry for the long delay with this reply,
I'm sorry to say that Brian is no longer with us as Brizey wrote below. Micky and I visited him in California a few times in the late seventies, early eighties but there was no talking him to the UK.

Micky and Brian, we were friends to the end.............I miss them both .

Bumper sticker - This is an historic vehicle and only has three speeds....... if you don't like this one you sure as hell won't like the others.

By the way, I heard some sad news the other day whilst talking to Nick Butler. Apparently Baldy isn't too well & neither is Steve Elliott who owned Andromdea for a while, the dreaded C word (not the upstart newcomer one!) for both of them.
