Well done!
Layabout.
well done mate, look forward to seeing it a some shows next year
be quiet when you leave.... mr munn lives right around the corner
Got my registration papers back and been for my first drive.... unfortunately overheated, but nothing I can't solve. Otherwise here's some photos including one of the front undergoing modification to look like she should have in the first place. Grill would be black with a brass insert and that's a real 23 T bumper at the bottom.

No longer wanted: Steel 26/27 Ford Model T coupe rear fenders.

In the pictures above showing the front of the car those headlamp surrounds I just taped on. So now the process of making them fit... although I don't know exactly where they came from, manufacturer wise these are obviously made to mount on brackets either side of a grill shell. To that end they come in 3 pieces with a front bezel, rear body and cap. After taking the deep breath I cut the backs off leaving enough for folding over, that lip will fit behind the plastic light mounts. After some hammering with a rubber mallet and a round lump of aluminium which I fortunately had that is almost the same size, the edges were folded over but with Crinkles. After annealing with a blow torch I hammered it flat with a large plate of aluminium on top and presto now I have two flat headlight backs ready to mount to the bulkhead.

That looks better. The set-up you see you on the front is only for this summer later I'll be adding Steel shell motometer and dog bone.as I do the full rebuild this winter.

Good to see it 'in the flesh' at the breakfast meet last Sunday. I have to say it sounded great when you drove off.

And so it starts. Looking forward to the finished frame. Will be nice to have doors with Windows! Those cut pieces of tree will soon be body frames.

Ok so car is back from having the body made, now all the fun begins. First I need to add some metal inside to 'hold' the cab. The whole thing is strong enough but I want to frame it all aswell. Special thanks to Tony Davey at Smithys coachworks for the excellent work.

Will it remain a flatbed or are there plans for anything on the back? Liking the wood btw, would look great with some deep black gloss for contrast

Indeed it will be a flat bed, with stake sides. The image below was while we were deciding the spacing. Ends of the boards are square with radiused corners now, and the bed sides are just a touch longer with similar ends as seen in the second pic from when I went to collect.

Was always the plan, the steel was just for a quick and cheap fix while checking out the handling etc.Sent from my SM-T810 using NSRA mobile app
