    Hi John,

Good job on the axle, glad that you didn't get injured when the diff fell.

I use a wooden skate, then lower the body on it, instead of raising the diff up, seems easier to me.

I used to raise the diff up, but found it to be very unstable.

A larger skate for the complete axle,

And a smaller skate for the diff,

Hope this helps, possibly Allan at least,

    Cheers,
    Mike C.

The "plank" of wood worked, but next time . . . . . . . i'd fasten the diff too it and drill a hole for the drain plug

Red face Time to step it up........

Well, due to an arrival in the post yesterday is appears that I really need to get stuck into finishing the Pop as I have recieved a letter from C.C. inviting Street Odyssey up to Billing for the weekend to put it in the display commerating the 70's and 80's show cars.

So, I'm thinking that I may just be able to get it all finished in time but it will be a close call. I've got a reasonable amount to do but I have booked the week off before wheels day so, fingers crossed, I should be able to get loads done.

I thought the best option would be to get the brakes all plumbed in and the wiring done and then concentrate on the cosmetic side of things so that even if its not quite finished it will look finished.

I've had a few offers of help in the past so I think that now is the time to call em in. Many hands make light work.......... Please, any of you on here, feel free to come over to mine and chip in!!!

So today, Ian Morecubes came over and between us we got all of the brake lines fitted and bled out with no real dramas. Big thanks to Ian for offering his services. It has helped me out no end. Tomorrow I start prepping for the wiring. Happy.... You betcha!
