I can also sympathise as I'm having "senior" moments with mine. It's only metal, beat it into submission!
Layabout.
Positive thoughts please chaps or I'll end up with nothing to read whilst I eat my lunch.
I do sympathise though, when it's cold and dark the shed just don't have that allure.
Still some cracking progress Mike.
Cheers. Tim W.
It takes me three goes at least to do anything!!!
Keep at it Mike, its all looking good.

^^^^ cheers for the comments folks!

Got a bit more done today.
There's no point in fabbing for the sake of it, so i wanted to try and use the engine mounts that i made for the Cannon, ive lifted the motor up to get the carbs/scoop at a "gasser type" height, so the theory was to just make some simple platforms for the motor to sit on.
.
.
On the drivers side i decided to move the mount forward as much as i could, this will hopefully mean there is enough room to get the steering box in the perfect position for great geometry.
I sliced up the old mount to re-use as much as i could.
.
.
Just enough room for the filter and to get the bolts out,
.
.
Fair bit of work but it will make a difference for sure , it will be more obvious when i do the steering box mount .

Only just flicked through this fantastic build, will look at it in more detail soon. Great work Mike, brilliant.

Liking the engine mounts, I agree no point in re-making brackets when with a little enginuity this is what can be achieved
This & Langys builds I love to read, no offence to anyone else's build threads on here as I read them all, but it's the banter that goes with these threads as well....great work.
Who cares If It's glass or steel, It's still a hot rod.
^^ cheers for comments, all helps .

Had another xmas pressie for Lou delivered today !
Huge thanks to Zane at Zannetec for the great service on the rear axle, new longer tubes, new ends and new shafts, top job !
This was the axle off the Cannon but was way too narrow as that thing was virtually pro-street !!
.
.
old shafts will now join the ever growing list of bits i cant use from the Cannon
.
First thing i did today was trim 1/2 inch off the bottem of the mid-plate , it was causing the motor/box to pivot at this point and was making it a pain to set up.
The mid-plate will now bolt in on small brackets.
Bit annoying as everything had to be realigned again
.
got a bit more done on the engine mounts,
.
.
thats it for today,![]()
