Nice work
cheers tom ^^^^
.
Right then, up early today as my body shell and front panels were being delivered at 8 am , so the temporary bits had to be removed and ready to go by then !
.
.
Which was kinda handy as it makes it a bit easier to work on the chassis.
First thing was to bodge in the transition from 80 x 40 to 25 x 50 in the boot area, bit of slicing and dicing, bish bosh.......... good enough !!
.
.
then i decided to have a go at the ladder bars, these were a couple of the bits i re-used from Hooligan when i built the Cannon, but i knew they would need altering for this car, obviously the front mounts i made earlier in this thread.
The bars needed shortening and re-tapping, i hand a right hand tap for three ends but not a left hand tap for the remaining end, so this end was a cut n shut job !!
.
.
bit of old bolt as a joiner........
.
.
template for axle mounts............
.
.
and new center brace......
.
.
difference between old and new......
.
.
i knew files were good for something!...........
.
.
mocked up with the diagonal link, which still needs to be shortened for this car......
.
.
thats it for today folks.............
