Revisiting this now the chassis is sorted....

What's the smallest links anyone has used on a Watts? A panhard would be very small as it would have to fit in the space between the rails(don't want it seen from the front) although travel is very limited on this car due to ride height anyway so maybe the shortness(?) won't be an issue.

i really like the engineering behind this setup, it makes you want to see how it works and understand the interaction. Nice work

Steve, maybe but it would be about a foot shorter! The more parts in a Watts are making me veer towards a panhard for simplicity. There is probably 2" travel in the front end so the car is heavily sprung. Over that small travel the sideways movement will be negligible I reckon.

Would there be room for a Panhard if the steering damper was removed Ross . Is the damper really necessary with a rack ...

That's a distinct possibility Brian. The Smart car rack comes with the damper as an integral part and as we know manufacturers don't fit things for the sake of it.
I have one on the Pop as well and not sure whether to leave it on or not.
It certainly would be a good spot for it.

Aah, but we`re not manufacturers Ross, we`re rodders . If the front end is setup correct should you need a damper in the first place?. Personally I`d loose the damper and use the room for a panhard ...
