    NSRA NSRA Fun Run 2017 - Friday 2th - Sunday 4nd June 2017 - Event Update

    NSRA FUN RUN EVENT UPDATE
The NSRA Fun Run...by the sea - Great Yarmouth, 2-4 June 2017

The NSRA Fun Run is almost upon us and in just over four weeks time we will be by the sea in Great Yarmouth!

We have now secured an overflow camping field next door to the Racecourse. This is a school playing field with its own toilets and we will be putting in showers etc. This area is a very short walk from the main Racecourse site and would be best suited to those of you who want a quiet family camping area, or who want to spread out and rope off areas to reserve space for friends. When you arrive, please come to the main registration area at the Racecourse first to check-in and we will then direct you.

As the overflow camping has been secured, we are now in a position to extend the camping cut-off date and can take bookings up until the 19th May. As this is a completely new venture we really do need to know in advance how many pitches we have booked. We appreciate that lots of people are weather watchers, but it’s going to be glorious sunshine so get booking!!

Booking form is available here: http://www.nsra.org.uk/fun-run/

The weekend gate opening times are as follows:
    - Thursday 1st June: midday - 7pm (NSRA Members only)

    - Friday 2nd June: 9am - 10pm

    - Saturday 3rd June: 9am - 5pm
(if you arrive after this time, please park up and come directly to NSRA Hospitality where we will check you in)

    - Sunday 4th June: Showcars onsite from 8am; Public gate open from 9am

For any late arrivals, there will be an overnight holding area. So if you don’t make it in time, don’t worry there will be somewhere you can pitch up for the night. If you know you are going to be later than the times stated above, please phone Bob Sheppard on 01636 605316 asap to arrange a time in advance.

Whether you are camping onsite, or staying nearby, all weekend participants will need register for the event, pay the weekend entry fee and collect your wristband and mug. Remember the wristband will allow you to enter freely on and off the racecourse site over the weekend, so that you can enjoy all the entertainment. Everyone that completes a weekend registration form will be entered into a prize draw for a chance of winning a £400 North Hants Tyres Voucher! Winners will be announced at prize giving on Sunday.

There will be a road train service running between the Racecourse, Haven Holiday Park and the Joyland Diner all weekend. Fun Run participants with wristbands will be able to hop on for free - great for those of you staying in town, wanting to leave your show car at the Racecourse overnight.

For the Tot Rods, we will be arranging an agility course at the Racecourse (this will NOT be speed related). As per usual, all Tot Rods need to be registered at NSRA Hospitality. This will take place on Saturday morning, before the cruise departs.

    Now on to the entertainment…
Friday night we have the HOUNDOGS to get the weekend started in the ‘Victory Bar’. Saturday night we have a fantastic set lined up from FRANKIES GUYS in the ‘Victory Bar’.
We are also delighted that ACOUSTIC AMY will be joining us all weekend and will be playing a more laid back set in the art deco ‘GP1 Bar’ each evening.

Every year at the Fun Run we have a special car display category. This year, the category is “Topless in the Sun” (no jokes please!) There will be a specific parking area for roadsters, convertibles etc… and a trophy up for grabs!
