    Oil pressure

Hi as per my previous post . I couldn’t get any oil pressure and eventually changed the cogs , iv know got pressure but still getting a ticking noise not all the time but the oil isn’t getting to the lifters now and again having a low ticking noise sometimes. Is there anyway I can increase the oil pressure, I know the lifters are self regulating but the engine is old so can I alter them as I’m sure there worn over the years or is it just change them cheers

You can get a high pressure relief valve . On eBay about £18.00 . Will give you about 10 to 15 lbs extra

Oil pressure will bleed away through worn crank bearings, cam bearings etc. Rockers are right at the top of the motor, last in line.

A high pressure relief valve won’t do much if there IS no pressure, unless the original relief valve is knackered/leaking.
