    more progress

front bumper should be back thursday from the chromers C E Design Folkstone & collected the car from Mark at Wisbech Engineering who has done a great job repairing the os end of the X member.
20 miles & engine ran at 82C & fan didnt cut in once. its those new pumps, flushed block & 4 core radiator i think.
next jobs retrim passenger door card & graft on a plastic float to the tank sender as the 82 year old cork one doesnt like the new fuels

i've clipped 12v bulbs to the fuel sender arm before. you know the big round headlamp bulb they used to have before the thin halogen ones? that's the one.

Cool is this a hot rod? well thats my plan

all cars sold & empty garage so gone completely off piste this time & i recon it will be a hot rod in the end!
its a 1950 MG td thats had a ford crossflow fitted & mgb axles, my plan is to junk the ford & squeeze in a rover V8 & put in a 3.07 diff & back to steel rims a bit Reply With Quote
wider on the back 7", nothing obvious a sleeper to annoy the purists

Interesting as a TD might be, a '34 5-window definitely trumps it!
