Are you Nobby on the HAMB? If so, in plain English, what do you want to know about the SoCal brakes? I have a set in the boxes here.

Nobster, there is no 'top hat spacer' as I see it; there's a hub and a disc that fits to that. Other than bearings and fasteners there's nothing else and what there is mounts directly to the spindle.

My understanding of the top hat things are they are available in various offsets which allow discs to be fitted to hubs in different configurations, so essentially they're adapters. Whether I'm right or wrong, the SoCal 'Fake Brake' doesn't have them. The SoCal installation instructions are available on their website.

The calipers are Wilwood, but all the other parts are SoCal. I (also?) made a incorrect guestimation that this kit was a dressed up Willwood solution. It's not, all the other parts are of SoCals manufacture.

From that pic it's clear we're at cross purposes. To me that pic is just a generic looking disc brake conversion using probably GM discs. Listed as SoCal and I'm sure it is but I'd imagine that most would regard a question about SoCal brakes to be a reference to these babies.

not necessarily these (but from SoCal)
