I remember speaking to a competitor at the Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb a good few years ago and seem to remember him saying he had owned it for a good few years. Can't remember who it was or even what car he was using on the hill. I'll see if I can find out more but don't hold your breath.

Hi Al,i seem to remember that Graham Loakes himself attends Shelsley, and even races there ,could it have been him you spoke to ?

More seeming and confusion added by me but together we will get the answers .

You could well be right Ian. More investigation needed I guess.

Somewhere in my dim cranium orifice we call a brain, I seem to remember a Y model (maybe Graham Loakes example) being exported to the states!...hence the `EXPORT MARKER: YES` showing in the DVLA site posted by Stan...

Mike, did this go any further?

I am Graham Loakes, original builder of DTV 230 who sold it to your brother below.

I remember that from the mid to late 70's, I could never decide if I preferred this one when it was two tone brown and cream or John 'spats' Wilkinson's red restorod version.

Sent from my MAR-LX1A using NSRA mobile app
It's only original once...... But you can rod it as many times as you like!

Wasn't this involved in a crash at one stage ? IF it's the one I'm thinking of CJ Prew owned the remains at one stage and was going to rebody it into a Y roadster using a WFW body ?

I'm pretty sure that was John Wilkinsons's old Model Y, the red one that he built before the 32 Sedan with the OO1932 plate Kev. I seem to remember it was totalled when a truck hit it while parked outside CJ's house.

I've got Clive's phone number somewhere, so I'll try and find out.
