Newbe - looking for a Rod

    Hi Guys,

Anyone who has been on Pheads over the last 10 years may know my 'Handle' (3Dee or V8 VUM) as I built over 7 years an Ultima 640bhp monster which I loved, but sadly had to let go 3 years ago when I moved house. I have never recovered!

So..... at close to 70 years young, here I am thinking about investing (oh thats good!) in some sort of outrageous Street Rod but it has to have a massive V8 engine... well... noisy and fun maybe! Best sound in the world!

I started to look on ebay and I came across a number of Ford bucket/convertible type jobs, but began to get nervous when I read about the DVLA "incorrectly Registered" article I came across by accident... so this project to find a suitable candidate seem fraught with potential danger, unless I know all the ins & outs.....

Here are a few I found which sort of indicates what I might be interested in....
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1932-Ford...d/273926468576
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-32-M...-/202734295695
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1932-Ford...gAAOSwj5FdEfYh
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Model-T-v...rdt=true&rt=nc

So... any pearls of wisdom would be very happily accepted...

    Thanks for reading....

Do you have a budget in mind, as that can help.

As Martin says depends on your budget - my roadster will be going up for sale very soon.

    Hi Guys,

Haven't got a lot, but at a stretch around early 20k...ish or thereabouts..... depending on condition/ provenance as always, and provided correctly registered an all that stuff.... not losing a lot if I moved it on when I get 'reeealy old' would be good also.

Quite happy to do some work on it if needed and at the right price. Bigger the engine and noise the better provided I can get away with road use oh...and being able to convince the missus of course!

    Thanks a lot!

Did anyone look at those links? are they all a no-no?

My old roadster T-bucket was up for sale again recently around that figure. Try searching Andy Barton on here in "for sales".

There's a stunning pro street 34 coupe in the for sales on here, not too far from what you've posted there and a lot of car for the money in my opinion
