    This will come in useful...

I had a trip to Chester last weekend and came back with a van load of small block Chrysler.

Rebuilt 318 with manifold and Holley. Possibly a cam but the seller didn't know (he bought it for a project but the usual happened!), headers, 904 torqueflite, two converters, new electronic dizzy plus lots of other stuff.
Block looks like it was done properly but I'll strip it to check it through.

    All destined for my Humber.

I've had it 5 years Kev. Rover 3.5 and 5 speed. I'm on the second LT77 and that's not happy. The Rover is leaking more and more, time for some proper running gear

Finally got time to start stripping this down.
It's good and bad. Block has had a +40 bore and hone so all good there. Found grinding paste in the bores though so just as well I didn't just run it.
The block has not been cleaned well. It did have a cam in it, a Howard Streetforce 2. It had some new lifters and some old so that would have done well on start up.
Heads are stock "675"'s, mediocre at best. Head bolts, some lubed and some dry and dirty.
Pistons are (new) unknown and the usual Mopar 80 thou down the hole.
So, good. Cam, machining done, air gap manifold, 600 Holley, long tube headers, new Pro Comp() electronic dizzy, new sump and bearings.
The bad. Built by Worzel Gummidge.

I think I did ok on balance.
    Layabout.

I'm slowly working on this between other stuff.
I finally got these a couple of days ago. Keith Black hypereutectic pistons with a corrected pin height. This recovers 17cc of compression volume and puts the pistons at deck height. Just needs a trial assembly to check if the block will need a trim as well.
