'46 Ford Coupe Now REGISTERED AND TAXED & French Flathead

She is now Registered and Historic Taxed,I may deal on a 105/107e or small Ford

OK circumstances dictate I need to sell my Coupe. She's an original '46 Coupe with flathead V8 and 3 speed on column. Still 6Volt system, the guages do work. I have added indicators, brake work includes cylinders, flexis, pipes and master cylinders. New fluel line and petrol tank, new tyres recored radiator. New reverse eye rear spring and fender skirst to go with her. 11 months MOT. I think she is ready to use. Most people have said don't paint her, so that would be up to the buyer. There is also the option of a brand new flathead V8 to go with the car, price to be negociated if wanted with the car. I will sell the car without the spare flathead, but I will NOT sell the engine until the car has sold (if it sells without)

After chatting to someone about the car today I thought I would ask other peoples opinion, WOuld it be better if I registered the car to help sell it, or leave it so that the buyer is the first person on the log book!? What do you think?

Being on the road far outweighs being the first name on the book.
Register it and it will sell much more easily.
For instance, if registered the new owner could drive it home.

Register it first Mike, the `worry` of having to register it could put some prospective buyers off.
Strange thing about it Mike, the bumper overriders are `46, as is the hood top ornament.
But the complete grill and the badge on the front of the hood suggest it as being a `47-`48, as do the side light type and position. `46 side lights were oblong units mounted on the front of the small panels between the hood and fenders.
They`re things easily changed so probably irrelevant, just thought you might like to know,

It looks a nice coupe, good luck with the sale...
