    Ford Corsair 'Laid not sprayed'

This is our 1965 Ford Corsair that we bought on a Little bit of a whim at the very last hot rod drags at shakey after a deposit was taken on our 100e,
Plan was just to use the 1700 deluxe as is but that didn't last long!
Someone scratched the drivers door and instead of trying to match the paint my son Mark who wraps vans for a living suggested we vinyl wrapped the perbeck grey exterior.
An unused classic Ford magazine project car design gave us the inspiration for the two tone design.
The whole car was wrapped, lowered and had new wheels on it on under a week.
The running gear remained standard at this point.

Well its fair to say the V4 didn't last 12 months before giving up!
Now running a black top Zetec and five speed gearbox which has made it much easier to live with as a true daily driver,
The whole family helped out at some point out on our driveway!
Lots of fun times have come from driving it all over the place, including France and the Isle of Wight last year.
Loads of bits have been modified or improved along the way.Name: 20181201_151444.jpeg

Bumper sticker - This is an historic vehicle and only has three speeds....... if you don't like this one you sure as hell won't like the others.

    Cheers guys,
People still don't realise its wrapped which I find surprising even with its name in the back window,
It has a couple of little areas of bodywork I want to address probably over the winter so we might even remove the whole lot and give her a colour change!
Currently building a Mk1 Cortina which will also be wrappedName: 20180325_131529.jpeg

if it said wrapped instead of laid people would get it straight away, maybe it's too subtle for us. i saw 'laid' and thought it would be 'slammed' as in laid out. if it weren't for this thread i wouldn't have twigged it if i saw it at a show either. a good wrap (which this is) looks as good as paint so why would anyone make the connection with the rear window sticker and vinyl wrap? just saying
    neil.
