    rover battery

    Can anyone advise which battery I will need to start my rover V8, been to halfrauds but their "expert" couldn't advise me without a reg number, (I dont think the 1934 reg would have helped) I don't want to buy one that doesn't have enough grunt.
    Thanks,
    Nige

    batteries

    we have a Bosch 7E 640 amp and a Jaguar RC135 ( Varta) 640 amp. both seem to be a bit old, and newer up todate cross refrence models with higher capacities seem to have superseeded both of these.
    I was recomended Diesel transit at the time but an 096 seems an upgrade now. they will all spin a rover 3500 no problem. The last batteries I have bought for various cars have all come from:: https://www.batterymegastore.co.uk/
    excellent price, service, delivery and choice. If you were to use them hoefully your experience will be the same as mine. I think it was DPD did delivery.

    Sorry I hate Halfrauds, would be my last shopping port of call.Free del over £30 or a fiver-- but check website

    some website I checked says:::::::::::075 battery

    This item doesn't fit Rover 2000-3500 1970 Petrol Saloon 3500 RWD -- P6 3532cc 110KW 150HP

    It doesnt like a 096 either:::

    this is what it recomends,::
    Varta E24 Heavy Duty High Performance 069 / 072 12V 70Ah Car Battery - 4 Yr Wnty

    EB705 Exide Excell 70Ah 540CCA 12v Type 031 072 Car Battery 3 Year Warranty

    Bosch S4 Car Battery 12V 70Ah 630CCA S4027 Type 069

    S4027 S4 027 Bosch Car Battery 12V 70Ah 630A Type 069 4 YEAR WARRANTY

    however todays batteries are far superior to stuff 30 plus years ago. if it fits the battery compartment, has power for all the accessories and has the correct terminals in the right place, its likely to start the engine no problem. Keeping it charged from a good alternator and possible trickle will guarantee a start as and when required.all of these are 70 Ah, so almost any battery with this rating or if possible higher will do.
