    Aluminium driveshaft

Hi guys, shortened my driveshaft, now need a place to get it welded - hopefully not too far from home - east end London tho I do travel a bit

I used to do this myself, however don’t have the welder equipment anymore

Sorry I can't help, but that's a curiously large amount of drive yoke extension from the transmission. I understand an excess of that promotes vibration as there is some clearance in the splines, which slowly gets worse over time as the splines wear. Hope you didn't shorten the driveshaft by something like the excess stickout you could have eliminated!

Bumper sticker - This is an historic vehicle and only has three speeds....... if you don't like this one you sure as hell won't like the others.

Lol in that position (slammed) there is 10mm travel back into the tran (just enough to remove the rear bolts/yoke

Yep those are the ones I’m going to see next week - when I rang them they mentioned that they were waiting on an earth strap so they could spin the aluminium while welding (Eaton socon)

Let me rephrase that - thanks just realised that one is closer - Bradley Morris Heathrow so will try them

after contacting Bradley Morris Heathrow, and getting positive response for welding aluminium, I rang them again to find out if I could drop by 1st thing in the morning with my Aloy prop shaft. Was informed that they cannot weld aluminium
    So still looking
