I love the fastback ... thats going to upset some purists but I am liking what you are doing to it.
I presume its got a new chassis to make its stance as good as that ?

I was told hotrodding was expensive, I laughed.......but it wasnt for long
yes it sits on a full custom made frame, 10x20 at the back and 8x18 up front. the front wings are also stretched 6" to give a little more room for the v8.
the fast back has awesome shape to it, looks aggressive just sitting there, look forward to seeing more
not been able to do much to the fastback but the cortina has been under going loads of changes. over the next couple of weeks swapping to the billet carb body which i am hoping will make it drive a bit better . ordered a new fibre glass bonnet skin as the old bonnet decided to fly off at about 50mph and wreck it, even though it 3 steps back and 1 step forward i do believe it gets better to drive every time so cant wait to get the set of mods in place.
been busy with the cortina trying to get the fueling right, after rebuilding the carb and a lot of messing with jet sizes i think i am pretty close now. even thou its turbo,ed i am not after big horse power i just want to be able to drive the wheels of it rain or shine.
i have ordered a new fuel pump which will flow up to 12 psi and a fuel regulator with boost reference which should give a more reliable fuel delivery and make it a bit more bullet proof.
in the next couple of weeks the fastback is being dug out the corner to see if i can finally get it on the go

finally dug the fast back out, started ordering a few parts. first job to finish up the rear body mounts then the body can come back of to finish the welding and sanding before the body goes back so all the body panels can be mounted and gapped.
more soon.
Looking good but still plenty to do Tony

cheers ,
little bit done tonight,
i knew they were going to be a bit tricky to make because of where the rear body mounts had to sit on the frame but with a few cardboard templates and some 4mm steel plate bingo done.
can now get them tacked on the chassis then take the body of and fully weld and add a top gusset for a little extra strength.
Tidy bit of fabrication Tony.

cheers,
finished up the rear body mounts and tacked them in position.
get the body of tomorrow and then they can be fully welded.
fair bit done today.
body off , rear body mounts welded on , cradle for the fuel pump / fuel filter in position just need to order some rubber mounts and also the gearbox bolted on with the clutch cylinder. will get a starter motor ordered so i can check it fits along side the fuel pipes . also got the mock up fuel pipes routed along the chassis . few pics from today.
First class keep up the good work. Terry

cheers terry.
busy day today, got the new starter motor and had to notch the inner frame to fit . tweaked the fuel pipes and i think that will work. other thing to do was to weld in some prop shaft loops to retain the prop if things did go pete tong.
also had these made at work, they are strengthening plates that will be welded underneath the floor pans to add support where the body mounts mount.
