    Bit more...
Bl00dy hate leaving things almost finished, so popped back down and finished welding the crossmember ends.
    .

    .
Coilover mounts wont be welded till later, adjustable for for/aft , sideways and swing up/down at the moment.
Often in this thread you might here the phrases " good enough " and " that will do " , but that's me folks sorry
    .
Done for the day...........happy with that bit

what do you hate about them as i find them great to work with and after a bit of practice i have found you can get some realy fine detail cuts and very little to clean before you weld

Plasma cutting grew out of plasma welding in the 1960s,
Any advice or help given is actually based on having done the job, not read about doing it or Googling it.

Old holesaws with teeth missing are like old folk with teeth missing,
they still do the job, just not as quick...or as accurate

ps, been using my plasma tonight, i think they're a great tool but just one of a selection needed for cutting or shaping stuff.

good idea to not fully weld to coilover mounts in yet Mike,
you cant beat having actual axle mocked in place to get things just right.

cheers, thanks for the feedback, not much comment on this, yet i'm really happy with it..............weird?
At the moment the car is fully adjustable for height, wheelbase, engine placement, wasted too many hours over the years on rushing into welding stuff.
    .
Did you get any more info. on cage spec bud?

Keep cracking on with the build, you're doing fine by me,

Hi Mike great build, I`m not usually a poster more of a lurker but if I see something that might be a safety issue I gotta say something. If you have really used old bedstead iron for your crossmember mount I would reccomend changing it, because its very hard and tends to crack under strain. I`ve used it and its cracked so I know. Mike me have you used the plasma much, they are tricky to get used to using but I wouldn't be without mine, they save so much time.
