Organised by the NSRA and Shakespeare County Raceway, a hot rod meet rolled up into a weekend of nostalgia style drag racing. Run what ya brung for pre-1973 cars. Hot rods, customs, Outlaw Anglias, dragsters, altereds, the Gasser Circus, and the flathead meltdown!
23rd – 25th June 2017 saw the 24th annual NSRA Nostalgia Nationals at Shakespeare County Raceway in Warwickshire.
The gates open at 8am on Friday the 23rd, with the track open from 12 noon for pre-1973 run what you brung participants in cars with full silenced exhaust systems.
The ever popular Outlaw Anglia racers will be celebrating their twenty fifth anniversary over the weekend, including a ’street shoot out’ on Friday, open to all sit up and beg Anglias, Populars, Prefects and Fordsons.
Along with the usual array of Wild Bunch and Supercharged Outlaw competition cars and Gasser Circus competitors, the event will play host to the Tri-Chevy shoot out featuring Chevrolet’s finest from 1955, 1956 and 1957. Two further action packed days of run what you brung racing, live entertainment on both Friday and Saturday nights and a free courtesy bus available for all visitors, between the track and Stratford Upon Avon (Saturday only) there will be no shortage of things to see and do.
Entry is £20 per single day (£18 advance tickets) or £30 for the whole weekend (£25 advance tickets) Under sixteens are free when accompanied by an adult.
If your car is eligible you can sign on to take it down the track at a cost of £20 for one day, £30 for two days or £40 for three days.
All vehicles will be subject to a technical inspection and must have a driver’s seat belt and a radiator overflow catch can. Drivers will need a crash helmet and will need to produce a current full driving licence.
