FRIDAY 28TH APRIL – MONDAY 1ST MAY 2017
This year’s Pre-49 Event will be based in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire, home of the legendary 617 Dambuster Squadron! Journey through Lincolnshire’s extensive and rich aviation heritage. From the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s ﬂying Spitfires, Hurricanes, Dakota and Avro Lancaster, to the Digby Lima Sector Operatons Room, to Just Jane at the Lincolnshire Aviaton Heritage Centre and the many other heritage sites and airbases across the county.
Following on from the theme of previous years, this years Pre-49 Event will be a driving weekend taking in the sights and history of Woodhall Spa in Lincolnshire, the famous home of 617 Dambuster Squadron. The event, being organised by Bob & April Sheppard is open to NSRA Members only, and will incorporate visits to the Lincolnshire Aviaton Heritage Centre at East Kirkby, the Batle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre at RAF Conningsby and Metheringham Airfeld.
Our base for the weekend will be the Petwood Hotel, a charming country house hotel steeped in aviaton history.
Note that this event is strictly limited to NSRA Members only and all cars must be pre-49 body style.
