NSRA Pre-’49 Event

FRI 3RD – MON-6th MAY 2019 (BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND)

NSRA MEMBERS ONLY EVENT

In keeping with tradition, the NSRA Pre-49 Event is limited to pre-49 body style
Hot Rods, Street Rods & Customs only.

Our base for the weekend will be The De Vere Theobalds Estate Hotel in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire EN7 5HW. A historical countryside escape dating back to the 15th Century.

There are still a small number of rooms available at the discounted price of £99.00 per night including breakfast.

Saturday we will be taking a scenic cruise to The Kelvedon Hatch Secret Nuclear Bunker in Essex. Based just 20 miles from the centre of London this was one of Britain’s best kept secrets. This is where devolved central government and military commanders would have run the region had the UK been attacked and nuclear war broken out. Built in great secrecy and under strict military security the local villagers and contractors alike knew nothing of what was concealed in this hillside or how it would be used.

The discounted entry cost £7 per person.

Sunday cruise to Hendon RAF Museum. The RAF museum London is located on the former Hendon Aerodrome. It includes 5 buildings and hangers showing the history of aviation and The Royal Airforce.

Car Park Charge £4, entry to the Museum is Free.

On Monday there may be an opportunity for a cruise to Studio 434 one of the most extensive, privately owned Classic Vehicle Collections in the UK. This is still to be confirmed and will depend on the number of people wishing to attend.

If you are interested in joining us for the Pre 49 event or wish to book please contact Bob Sheppard by email bob@nsra.org.uk or telephone 01636 605316
